Nets' D'Angelo Russell, Ziaire Williams questionable Monday vs. Mavs
The Brooklyn Nets (23-48) are on a 3-game losing streak as they were unable to pick up victories against the Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers on the most recent road trip. Brooklyn appears to get somewhat of a break as they will be facing a Dallas Mavericks (34-37) team that is just trying to make it through the season, but the Nets could be missing two key players again.
The Nets announced on Sunday that guard D'Angelo Russell and forward Ziaire Williams are questionable for Monday's home game against the Dallas Mavericks with their respective injuries. Russell is dealing with soreness in his right ankle while Williams is dealing with tightness in his right hamstring and the duo recently picked up these injuries.
Russell and Williams did not play in Saturday's 108-103 loss at the Pacers due to their injuries, but head coach Jordi Fernandez said prior to the game that both players were sitting due to precautionary reasons. However, with Russell and Williams listed as questionable, it's possible that their injuries could be more than just precautionary if they are unable to take the floor against the Mavericks.
In the absence of Russell and Williams, Tyrese Martin and Jalen Wilson drew starts next to Keon Johnson, Cam Johnson, and Nic Claxton in the starting lineup and had decent performances as their replacements. Martin had nine points, four rebounds, and five assists filling in for Russell while Wilson had 13 points and six rebounds in replacement of Williams.
If Russell and Williams are unable to play against Dallas, it is safe to assume that Martin and Wilson will be in the starting lineup on Monday. As mentioned above, the Mavericks are trying to make it to the end of a difficult season as they are experiencing a significant amount of injuries, but Anthony Davis, who the team acquired in the Luka Doncic trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, has been upgraded to doubtful for the first time since he suffered his adductor injury in his first game with Dallas.
Nets say that D'Angelo Russell (right ankle soreness) and Ziaire Williams (right hamstring tightness) are QUESTIONABLE Monday vs. Mavericks.

Reece Beekman, Tyson Etienne, Tosan Evbuomwan, and Dariq Whitehead are in the G League.
For Dallas, Anthony Davis (adductor) is DOUBTFUL.
