Anyone against the Pittsburgh Steelers drafting a quarterback not named Jaxson Dart may have their hearts crushed on draft night—as the NFL recently invited Alabama QB Jalen Milroe to attend the live 2025 NFL Draft.
Despite having a third- to fourth-round grade from several NFL draft specialists, Milroe was rumored to be viewed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a first-round-caliber prospect—and apparently, the league feels the same.
At first glance, the NFL invite seems harmless. But Milroe's attendance—coupled with speculation from Colin Cowherd that many within the league believe the Pittsburgh Steelers fell in love with the idea of drafting the Alabama QB with the 21st overall pick—may be painting an interesting draft-day picture.
Many, including myself, scoffed at the 'rumor' floated by Cowherd that Milroe could be drafted in the first round by the Steelers—but apparently, the Crimson Tide prospect’s athleticism may have been enough to grab the Steel City’s attention.
Is Milroe’s recent invite an indication that Cowherd was right about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ desire to draft the QB in the first round, or are other teams also interested in the prospect?
