Juventus are quickly discovering the differences between new coach Igor Tudor and his predecessor Thiago Motta in their training sessions.
The Bianconeri won their debut under the Croatian, who stepped in during the break for international duty, and are now getting a full week of work with the coach.
According to Calciomercato.com, Tudor has been very vocal at the Continassa camp, repeatedly telling the players “You don’t get to rest now” during the fitness exercises.
He also stepped up the number of sessions to twice a day and shouts for the squad to move with greater intensity.
Tudor abandoned Thiago Motta tactics at Juventus
There are also some very big tactical changes from the Thiago Motta approach, which was based on possession to work their way towards creating attacking moves.
Tudor is more direct, asking for his players to go for the vertical pass quickly rather than try horizontal or backwards options.
Off the field, the coach attempted some team-building exercises by taking the entire squad out to dinner at former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci’s restaurant in Turin last night.
