Igor Tudor could have two more senior players to choose from when Juventus take on Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A on Sunday evening, as Andrea Cambiaso and Douglas Luiz resumed full training with the rest of the first-team group on Thursday.
Juventus receive double fitness boost ahead of Roma
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Cambiaso and Douglas Luiz trained as normal with the Bianconeri group during Tudor’s session on Thursday.
Cambiaso has been struggling with an injury that forced him out of the Italy squad for the Nations League quarter-finals against Germany in March, and also the 1-0 Serie A win over Genoa on the return of domestic football last weekend.
Douglas Luiz, meanwhile, has not featured in Serie A since the 1-0 win over Cagliari in February, and has not started in the league since the 1-1 Derby della Mole draw against Torino in January, Juventus’s first league match of the calendar year.
Both are now in contention to be included in the matchday squad against Roma at the weekend, though.
Juventus’s injury list currently includes Federico Gatti, who will miss around a month of action with a broken fibula, plus the long-term absentees Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal and Arkadiusz Milik.
