Apr. 12—After taking the first game in the series, the Permian baseball team came up short both times in Friday's doubleheader against Wolfforth Frenship at McCanlies Field.
The Tigers defeated the Panthers by scores of 11-9 and 8-3 to take the District 2-6A series and remain at the top of the district standings.
Frenship improved to 19-8 overall, 10-2 in District 2-6A.
The Panthers fell to 14-16-1, 7-5 and sit tied for second with Midland High.
Permian will next face Midland High at 6 p.m. April 24 at Zachery Field to begin that series.
