Girls lacrosse: Vote for lohud Player of the Week, sponsored by White Plains Hospital

Each week, the lohud Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week poll, presented by White Plains Hospital, will run online.

This is the poll's first week. It will cover games played March 30-April 6, but also the handful of games played the previous week.

Coaches have nominated 13 athletes for the initial honor.

Amanda Carey, Mahopac

The junior goalkeeper, who's approaching 250 career saves on varsity, came up big in losses to Tappan Zee and Pearl River. Against TZ, she turned aside 13 shots and she had another six saves against Pearl River.

Ella Collins, Pleasantville

The junior attacker recorded her 100th career point on varsity with a monster, seven-goal, three-assist day in a 15-9 win over Somers.

Kelly Constantino, White Plains

The junior attacker netted seven goals and had an assist over two games. She had four goals and an assist in an 11-6 win over Clarkstown North and registered a hat trick in a 10-9 loss to Pleasantville. Her three goals in that game helped fuel a comeback after the Tigers were down 8-3 at the half.

Katherine Ebeling, Rye

In a sport that's known for double-digit scoring and in which goalies seldom stop 50% of the shots they face, the senior goalie played her angles well and displayed her characteristic quickness in making 15 saves on 29 shots over three Garnet wins.

Victoria Finn, Croton

The senior attacker amassed eight goals and three assists and won the race to 15 balls off the draw over Croton's first four games.

Tatum Korpi, Blind Brook

The junior opened the season with three strong games, scoring four times, dishing out seven assists, causing opponents to turn the ball over six times and beating them to 18 balls off the draw.

Hope McCormack, Dobbs Ferry

The senior midfielder had a big day during the Eagles' 22-10 win over Rye Neck. She poured in seven goals and beat the Panthers to 12 balls -- seven off the draw and five ground balls.

Kiki Ottenheimer, Clarkstown North

The senior midfielder had an assist and a milestone goal in the Rams' loss to ranked Horace Greeley. Ottenheimer's score marked her 100th career goal on varsity with Clarkstown North.

Aly Raimondo, Irvington

The senior midfielder totaled seven goals and came up big on defense over two wins and a loss. In a win over Byram Hills, she put in two goals, had an assist, won the race to seven balls off the draw, picked up three ground balls and recorded five takeaways. Raimondo then poured in four goals (going coast-to-coast on one score), had an assist, got five balls off the draw and two other ground balls and swiped the ball three times in a win over Blind Brook. And in a loss to Harrison, she had a goal, an assist, got four balls off the draw and two ground balls and stole the ball once.

Grace Richards, Horace Greeley

The junior midfielder went on an offensive tear in wins over Clarkstown North and ranked Yorktown and Ursuline. In all, Richards poured in 15 ...
