Mar. 31—The All-District 2-6A girls soccer team was recently announced which featured three Permian players earning superlative awards.
Permian's Halee Lancaster was named the Midfielder of the Year while Sophia Castillo earned the Defender of the Year award and Jacleyn Estrada was named Newcomer of the Year.
Odessa High's Alexia Hernandez was named the Goalkeeper of the Year.
Wolfforth Frenship's Zeta McDannels was named the Most Valuable Player while Midland High's Adeline Hahn earned Forward of the Year.
San Angelo Central head coach Henry Gonzales was named the Coach of the Year.
In addition, Permian had four players named to the All-District First Team which included Alyssa Valdez, Keria Turnbull, Xemhoria Watkins and Hannah Torres.
Itzel Franco, Madison Matthews and Kamdyn Bingham-Jones were named to Second Team All-District.
Odessa High's Alexia Hernandez and Mariah Montano earned First Team honors for the Lady Bronchos while Rosa Ortega and Devonee Aspeitia were Second Team All-District.
