Giants getting an up close and personal look at two viable NFL draft options

The New York Football Giants will have a massive decision to make when they come to the podium with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Do they take Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders to be the face of the franchise for the next decade plus or do they go with a dynamic weapon the likes we haven't seen in some time with Travis Hunter?

It isn't an easy call either way, but you can't go wrong with either selection if both are available. Most believe Cam Ward will come off the board first overall to the Tennessee Titans, and 59% of mock drafts have Abdul Carter of Penn State going No. 2 overall to the Cleveland Browns.

In that scenario, the Giants could choose from the two Colorado stars to come to the Big Apple. One could argue that one is more valuable than the other. According to Albert Breer, the Giants will get plenty of looks with a massive crew taking the trip to Boulder on Friday.

The case for Shedeur Sanders to New York

New York has made plenty of moves in recent weeks when it comes to the quarterback position. Despite signing both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in recent weeks, they feel like bridge options. The Giants need a guy who can bring the Giants out of the doldrums of the NFC East and provide sustained success. That is why drafting Sanders at No. 3 overall and allowing him to sit and learn could be the best option for the organization.

The case for Travis Hunter to New York

The other side of that coin tells us that since the NYG brass opted to sign two free agent quarterbacks with extension starting experience, they can afford to wait on the quarterback of the future. Travis Hunter provides plenty of upside as both a cornerback and wide receiver. In specific packages on offense, Hunter could be a massive problem for defensive coordinators to gameplan for, especially with Malik Nabers lining up on the outside as well.

Either way they go, this could be a win-win for New York. Or will they opt for what is behind door No. 3? Only time will tell.
