New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen's main directive this season was to fill up his empty quarterback room.
In recent weeks, he re-signed Tommy DeVito and added Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency.
The collective thinking is that Schoen is not done padding his roster with quarterbacks. He said at the NFL league meeting in Palm Beach on Monday that if the right quarterback is available when they are on the clock at the 2025 NFL draft later this month, a quarterback is a possibility.
"There's got to be one available. They've got to check a lot of boxes," Schoen said.
It is widely believed that the Giants would take Miami's Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders of Colorado with the third overall pick if given the opportunity.
Ward is almost certain to be off the board early. Tennessee, who hold the top pick, is smitten with Ward after his monster pro day last week. Cleveland, who picks second, is done with Deshaun Watson and will surely take Ward if the Titans pass.
Sanders could go anywhere in the Top 10. The Giants are a possibility at No. 3, and he apparently thinks that's where he'll end up.
Oh Boy: Shedeur Sanders seems to confirm he's going to be drafted by the Giants 👀

Even though Schoen pretty much tempered Giants fans' expectations on Monday by stating the team could "go in any direction" at No. 3 in this draft, selecting a quarterback of the future is always going to please the fan base.
