The Florida State basketball team has landed its first high school signee in Thomas Bassong, a native of France who played for Overtime Elite.
A 6-foot-8 forward, Bassong averaged 15.6 points and 4.3 rebounds for OTE in the November-February season.
"Sup Tallahassee?! Let's get to work," Bassong posted on Instagram.
Bassong is a capable dribbler in the open court and runs well, finishing around the rim. He also has a good 3-point shot. Bassong has a leaner frame but uses his body well to grab offensive rebounds and get putback baskets.
Bassong joins an FSU roster that is taking shape for the 2025-26 season. The Seminoles have landed four transfers — Kobe Magee, Lajae Jones, Chauncey Wiggins and Robert McCray V — and has retained rising sophomore AJ Swinton.
