Former Michigan State guard Tre Holloman has set up four official visits

Michigan State basketball started their 2025 offseason with an enormous roster shaking move when guard Tre Holloman elected to enter his name in the transfer portal.

The impact of Holloman leaving is still being felt, but the ultimate decision by Holloman was made around the fact that he sees himself as a point guard, and wants the bulk of his minutes to be as a point guard. All of this boils down to Holloman and MSU parting ways.

While mind boggling, and still shaking the core of Michigan State, the two sides are moving on, and now, Holloman is focused on his recruitment and where he will be suiting up next year. He is certainly going to do his due diligence, in a way that would make Tom Izzo proud, setting up four official visits to really go through the recruiting process.

According to a report from On3's Pete Nakos, Holloman has set up visits to Baylor, North Carolina, NC State and Villanova.

Despite early speculation that Arizona State and Texas Tech were the early schools to watch, it appears that Holloman is looking at a couple of big time schools. Will he get his wish at being a starting point guard at these schools? Only time will tell, but on surface, it really does not feel like a couple of these schools are proper landing spots.
