Florida State men's basketball lands Ex-Clemson Tiger Chauncey Wiggins from NCAA transfer portal

Florida State men's basketball head coach Luke Loucks stayed in the ACC and landed a Clemson Tiger. FSU added a 6-foot-10 power forward, Chauncey Wiggins, on Wednesday, per a report by Joe Tipton of On3.

Wiggins is FSU's highest major pickup and will join Kobe Magee and LaJae Jones in Loucks' transfer portal class of 2025.

Wiggins will be on his fourth and final year of eligibility after playing his collegiate career at Clemson. In his final season, Wiggins averaged 8.3 points a game in 26 of his 33 starts.

Given his size, Wiggins shot 43.8 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from 3, and 80.6 percent from the free-throw line. He is also well-known for his defensive presence.

Wiggins dropped 10 points in Clemson's loss to McNeese State in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

According to 247 Sports, Wiggins was rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 6 player in Georgia coming out of Grayson High School. In the transfer portal player rankings, he was also rated the No. 33 player in his position group.
