ESPN recently selected the Jacksonville Jaguars as a "favorite team fit" for Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
Matt Bowen recently picked his ideal landing spot for the top 20 prospects in this year's NFL draft, and paired the Jaguars with Hunter.
"I like the Heisman Trophy winner in Jacksonville because I see All-Pro upside with Hunter in that secondary," wrote Bowen. "He'd tilt the field on that side of the ball. With his premium ball skills and closing speed, Hunter can cover the deep areas and take the air out underneath."
The Jaguars have a need at both cornerback and wide receiver, and Hunter could help out at each.
Wherever he's lined up, Hunter has displayed terrific ball skills and an overall playmaking ability. As a receiver, he caught 79% of his 121 targets at 13.1 yards per catch with 15 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, in coverage, he allowed a completion rate of only 56% and had four interceptions and seven pass breakups, according to PFF.
"New coach Liam Coen could also create packages of plays for Hunter on offense," added Bowen. "Hunter would bring juice to the perimeter in the pass game, as his 23 receptions of 20 or more yards last season tied for the second most in the nation."
At the NFL league meeting, Coen was asked about Hunter and described how the Jaguars would potentially utilize him, which centered around being "fluid as an organization."
