Dick Vitale predicts winner of Gonzaga vs. Georgia basketball

ESPN college basketball expert Dick Vitale is a fan favorite due to his remarkable enthusiasm and joy for the game. Vitale has made his March Madness predictions and has the Duke Blue Devils defeating the Florida Gators in the national championship game.

Vitale predicted every NCAA Tournament game including the No. 9-seed Georgia Bulldogs versus the No. 8-seed Gonzaga Bulldogs. Vitale, like most experts, likes for Gonzaga to beat Georgia in the first-round. He has Gonzaga losing to the No. 1-seed Houston Cougars in their next matchup, but predicts that Houston will advance all the wake to the Final Four before falling to Duke.

"The Bulldogs battle, but Zags advance," said Dick Vitale. There's a lot of reasons why Gonzaga is favored against Georgia. Gonzaga is the No. 8 team in the country in the NCAA's NET rankings and has one of the most efficient offenses in the country.

Georgia will have to lean on its defensive prowess and interior size in order to topple Gonzaga. UGA does not have an NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years and a March Madness win in over 20 years. Regardless of how the Gonzaga game goes, Georgia's seasons should be considered a success.

Georgia has defeated some of the best teams in the country (No. 1 seed Florida, No. 2 seed St. John's and No. 3 seed Kentucky). The Bulldogs will need some more upset magic to beat Gonzaga and all of their NCAA Tournament experience.

Georgia and Gonzaga play on Thursday, March 20 at approximately 4:35 p.m. ET (after the conclusion of the Houston vs. SIU Edwardsville game) in Wichita, Kansas. The game will be televised on TBS.
