Detroit Tigers 2025 caps: Here's how they look and how to get them

The 2025 Detroit Tigers baseball season is underway and they play their home opener against the Chicago White Sox on Friday.

Fans can expect to see a few changes to the Tigers' uniforms this year, more specifically the hats. The team has total of five hats that will be on display throughout the entirety of the season that sport different iterations of their traditional colors − and one has already hit the sideline.

Team caps can be purchased at The D Shop inside Comerica Park or online across various platforms.

Here are all five caps that will be worn this year (we didn't include the City Connect cap as the team hasn't announced if it will return):

Spring Training

This was the cap they wore for the past two months during spring training. It's unique because of it's different logo for spring games as well as the Grapefruit League "FL" logo as a side patch.

Batting Practice

This cap will be worn all season whenever the Tigers are hitting in the cage before the game. The batting practice cap for all 30 teams feature the twin stripes with the primary logo.

Clubhouse

You'll see this hat worn in their locker room and when they're doing interviews. Like the spring training cap, it has a unique logo that you won't see on the field during the regular season.

Home Game

This is the cap we all know. The Old English is has been the Tigers home cap for decades and it will continue to do so for the 2025 season. Fun fact: The "D" logo was borrowed from the Detroit Free Press masthead in 1896.

Road game

About 20 years ago, MLB teams started using a different road cap to increase retail options for fans. The Tigers went simple, coloring the Old English D in orange.
