VOTE: Who is the SouthCoast high school Preseason Baseball Player of the Year?

With the return of four Standard-Times Super Teamers — Matt Burt (Bishop Stang), Ian Rego (Dartmouth), Jason Perry (Fairhaven) and Joe Castelo (New Bedford) —  SouthCoast baseball teams will feature a mix of experienced veterans and promising young players this spring as they vie for playoff berths.

Last year Apponequet had the deepest run, reaching the Div. 3 Final Four while Bishop Stang lost in the Div. 3 Elite 8. Dartmouth came up short in the Div. 2 Sweet 16 while Fairhaven’s season ended in the Div. 3 Round of 32.

Below are the names of 39 local baseball players we expect to have an impact on their respective teams this spring.

Cast your vote for the 2025 Standard-Times Preseason Baseball Player of the Year.
