Could LSU women's basketball target an All-Big Ten forward in the transfer portal?
As college basketball nears the NCAA Tournament, the transfer portal will heat up. A women's basketball star already declared her intention to enter the portal and LSU women's basketball could be in the mix,
Serah Williams announced her intentions to transfer following the conclusion of the Big Ten Tournament. Through three seasons at Wisconsin, she averaged 16.4 points and 8.6 rebounds. In 2024-25, she nearly averaged a double-double with 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, posting 15 double-doubles this year.
With Aneesah Morrow most likely moving onto the WNBA Draft after a record-breaking season, head coach Kim Mulkey will need to produce a new front court leader on both ends of the floor. While she will most likely still have Sa'Myah Smith and Aaliyah Del Rosario in addition to the nation's top 2026 class, it wouldn't hurt to bring in an experienced forward.
Along with Morrow, Mulkey has produced two of the best bigs to ever play women's college basketball in Angel Reese and Britney Griner. Both won national titles playing for Mulkey. That could make Mulkey's program an attractive destination for Williams.
A six-foot-four native of Brooklyn, NY, Williams earned All-Big Ten First Team honors alongside the likes of UCLA's Lauren Betts and USC's JuJu Watkins. She recorded a double-double against No. 9 Ohio State and scored 22 points against the No. 2 Bruins. A Big Ten All-Defensive team member, her efforts guarding some of the nation's elite inside threats stood out.
Williams excelled against some of the best forwards in the country on both ends of the court, meaning she's battle tested and can compete at a high level in the SEC. Putting her alongside Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikayla Williams would make LSU tough to beat yet again next season.
Thank you Coach Mo and coaching staff for the past 3 years

Thank you Wisconsin and the Badger community for all of your support. I'm super blessed and grateful
With that being said, l've decided to enter the transfer portal❤️
