As Cooper Kupp decision nears, 2 teams seem to be front runners
It sounds like we're getting close to a Cooper Kupp decision (for real this time).
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said he believes the list of teams is getting narrowed down, and he expects a decision to be made today.
Rapoport specifically mentioned the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints, and those two clubs seem to be the front runners based on the latest reports.
The Seahawks are "still holding out hope that the hometown connection plays into their favor," NFL insider Josina Anderson tweeted on Friday. Meanwhile, The Athletic's Mike Silver added that the Saints "are also making a push" to sign Kupp.
Other teams that have been linked to Kupp include the Denver Broncos (but there have been conflicting reports), the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans have been ruled out.
Stay tuned. Perhaps a decision from Kupp will arrive at some point today.
