Florida State released contracts for two men's basketball assistant coaches, Michael Fly and Gerald Gillion, on Thursday as part of an open records request.
Gillion will earn $275,000 annually as part of a one-year contract through April 30, 2026. He will receive $20,000 in moving expenses as well as a monthly car allowance and cell phone. Postseason bonuses are mentioned in the contract but not specifically outlined financially.
He was an FSU student and earned his bachelor's degree in 2008 in social science. Gillion was recently the associate head coach at Long Island University and the head coach at Chicago State from 2021-24.

He spent three years at FSU as a video coordinator, including FSU's 2012 run to the Sweet 16 when Luke Loucks was a senior guard.
Earlier this week, FSU hired Amorrow Morgan as an assistant coach and Chris Kent as an assistant coach/director of player development.
Loucks has signed a five-year deal, which includes a staff pool of $1.7 million.
FSU has added three transfers for 2025-26 — Kobe Magee, Lajae Jones and Chauncey Wiggins. The coaching staff has also retained rising sophomore AJ Swinton.
