The Colorado State women's basketball team has announced the addition of an experienced post player who has shined at the Division II level.
Madelyn Bragg will join the Rams from Northern State University. Bragg is a 6-foot-3 forward/center who played the last three seasons at Northern State, averaging 13.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over 87 games.
"Maddy is a very athletic, tough-minded player who is an inside-outside presence that was very productive at Northern State," CSU coach Ryun Williams said in a news release. "There’s no doubt she will come in here and be a strong presence for us. She’s been well coached, and her size and strength were a focus for us."
Bragg averaged 16.8 points and 7.2 rebounds last season as Northern State (located in Aberdeen, South Dakota) went 19-11. She earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference first-team honors for back-to-back seasons.
Bragg joins a group led by returning players Hannah Ronsiek, Marta Leimane, Brooke Carlson and Kloe Froebe.
