Colorado football, Deion Sanders offer son of Denver Broncos Hall of Fame cornerback

After a weekend in Boulder that included a stop at Colorado's pro day and coaching the cornerbacks at Saturday's practice, Denver Broncos Hall of Famer Champ Bailey got some welcomed news.

Deion Sanders extended an offer to Bailey's son Brayden on Saturday. Colorado's offer marks the younger Bailey's first college offer.

Brayden Bailey is a 2028 cornerback/wide receiver out of Holy Innocents Episcopal High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Only a freshman in 2024, Bailey racked up 22 tackles and two interceptions.

Sanders and Champ Bailey go way back. The two star cornerbacks were NFL teammates with Washington during the 2000 season. Bailey was coming off a dominant rookie season, while Sanders was nearing the end of his storied career.

Brayden visited Georgia Tech and Georgia this past fall and seems to be a rising prospect in the 2028 class.

Bailey becomes the ninth 2028 prospect to receive an offer from Colorado and the first cornerback.
