One Chelsea player has admitted that they played a little bit slow in their game in Europe on Thursday evening.

The reactions come off the back of Chelsea beating Legia Warsaw 3-0 away from home in the first leg of the Conference League quarter finals on Thursday night in Poland to pretty much set them up for a place in the semi finals of the competition.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea ARE looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and have world class name on the table!! 👀

Chelsea were awful in the first half but superb in the second half after what you feel would have been some harsh words from boss Enzo Maresca. The Italian went on to admit to ‘falling in love’ with one of his players after the game due to his incredible performance.

And it was an incredible night to remember for another academy gem as well with Tyrique George grabbing his first ever senior goal for his boyhood club. What a moment.

Noni Madueke came on as a half time sub and banged in two goals to make sure of the win and make sure Chelsea go back to Stamford Bridge with a comfortable lead.

In the first 45 minutes, Chelsea were laboured and played without any intensity on the ball. It was very poor, and even Madueke has admitted that.

‘It was a game of two halves really,’ Noni said in words picked up on the Chelsea website. ‘In the first half, we were a little bit slow with our build-up, we didn’t move from side to side quick enough and didn’t get enough decisive overloads in.

‘In the second half, we did things a lot quicker and we were much more decisive and that showed with the goals we got to secure a good win.

‘It puts us into a good position to progress now. We certainly won’t be taking things for granted because in sport, anything can happen. However, we really feel like we can go on and see the tie out now and progress to the semi-finals.

‘Now we want to finish off the tie in the right way in front of our own fans at Stamford Bridge.’
