Cast your vote for the Journal-area's boys basketball player of the year!
STURGIS — Greetings once again, everyone.
This week, you will have the opportunity to vote for the boys basketball player of the year in our area. Basketball has recently come to an end in Michigan, though the girls are still finishing up with semifinals and state championship games later this week. Unfortunately for our local area, we did not have a team reach this point in the season.
It's officially spring sports season around these parts. But first, we'd like you to vote for the best basketball players of the year. The boys poll, shown below, will run the first part of this week. Typically the athlete of the week polls run for a handful of days and we have a new sponsor with Glen Oaks Community College.

Boys player of the year poll will run until Thursday at 3 p.m. Following that, we will have the girls player of the year poll starting at 3 p.m. and it will also run for the same amount of time, it will end on Sunday at 3 p.m.
As always, you can vote as many times as you'd like. New to the polls recently is the option to vote for more than one athlete at a time, which is a pretty neat feature. By selecting more than one athlete, you don't really have to choose between members of the same school, which I know some of you will like.
