Tennessee held its first spring football scrimmage on Monday at Neyland Stadium.
The Vols have 18 offensive linemen on roster during spring.
Following Tennessee's first spring scrimmage on Monday, fifth-year head coach Josh Heupel discussed the Vols' offensive line unit and how they are coming together in the offseason.
"At this point, we don't have just a first five," Heupel said. "We are playing guys in multiple positions, seeing their ability to handle it, but also seeing their growth and execution within that. There is great competition every single day, and we are going to keep that going as we go through the spring."
Tennessee is in the process of replacing starting center Cooper Mays in 2025. Redshirt freshmen William Satterwhite and Max Anderson are in competition to replace Mays during spring practices.
Junior left tackle Lance Heard started in all 10 games he appeared in during his first season with Vols in 2024. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman transferred to Tennessee from LSU. He played in 12 games as a freshman in 2023 for the Tigers.
