Bengals meet with 'one of the most exciting players in the draft'

The Cincinnati Bengals meeting with running backs has been one of the more interesting stories of the last week or so ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.

While the Bengals planning to meet Ohio State Buckeyes star TreVeyon Henderson was already reported, a bit of new information has now emerged.

Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz passed along word that the visit for Henderson with the Bengals has now officially happened -- and that major teams like the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly looking at him too.

Schultz also provided this quote from an NFL personnel director: “One of the most exciting players in the draft and a very clean prospect. Home run threat every touch who can hurt you lining up out wide. Very dangerous in space. Multiple Pro Bowl caliber talent.”

Henderson averaged better than seven yards per carry last year and is good as a pass-blocker, so he certainly fits the mold of what the Bengals want.

How high the Bengals want to take a running back is much harder to say. They brought back Samaje Perine to pair with Chase Brown and Zack Moss figures to be gone. But many of these visits have been local prospects, too, as expected.

Should someone like Henderson rank highly enough on their board, perhaps the Bengals pull a little Joe Mixon deja vu earlier than expected.
