Mar. 30—PLAINS — Leadoff hitter Reggie Sapa doubled, had three hits and scored four times as Columbia Falls downed Plains-Hot Springs 19-0 in a high school baseball game that lasted just three innings Saturday.
Nico Young and Lincoln Fisher also doubled for the Wildcats, and each had two hits, as did teammates Brady Matson and Treysen Murphy. Young drove in three runs and scored three times. Matson and Fisher had two RBIs.
Jett Pitts threw the first two innings, allowing one walk and striking out five; Murphy threw a perfect inning, fanning one. Plains didn't record a hit.
Bonners Ferry 10, Eureka 8
BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — A hit batter, a walk, three errors and a wild pitch helped Bonners Ferry score four times in the sixth inning, and the Badgers rallied for the win over Eureka.
The Lions had forged an 8-6 lead thanks to four runs in the fifth inning and two in the top of the sixth.
Tristan Libby's RBI double put Eureka up 6-5 in the fifth; after the Badgers tied in their half of the inning, Tyce Van Orden hit an RBI double to put the Lions ahead 7-6 in the sixth and later scored on a wild pitch.
Bonners Ferry then put up a 4-spot without the benefit of a hit. The Lions committed seven errors and only three of the Badgers' runs were earned.
Van Orden had four hits and scored twice. Logan Cuffe had two hits, including a double, and two runs and two RBIs.
Late Friday: Bigfork 10, Ronan 3
RONAN — Cavin Weist doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the fifth inning, then hit two more doubles as the Bigfork Vikings pulled away from Ronan for a 10-3 baseball win Friday.
Weist's run in the fifth inning broke a 3-3 tie; Bigfork's No. 9 hitter doubled in a run to make it 6-3 in the sixth inning, and his double in the seventh plated the Vikings' 10th run.
Mason Lewis and Ryder Hamilton also doubled for Bigfork. Grady Campbell and Hamilton each scored twice.
Liam Benson went four innings on the mound, allowing three hits, a walk and one earned run. He fanned four. Hayden Mayer threw three no-hit innings of relief and struck out six.
Denzel Baltz had a double for Ronan, and Everett Lozeau supplied the Chiefs' only RBI.
