Another former Jacksonville Jaguars player joins Houston Texans
Another former member of the Jacksonville Jaguars is joining the Houston Texans.
According to FOX NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Cam Robinson is signing with the Texans on a one-year deal worth up to $14.5 million.
Along with Robinson, cornerback Ronald Darby has also signed with Houston, and the Jaguars traded wide receiver Christian Kirk to the Texans as well.
This hasn't been a one-way street either, the Jaguars signed for Texans' safety Eric Murray at the start of free agency.
Robinson began the 2024 season on the Jaguars roster in what was the final year of his deal at that time, but he was traded during the season to the Minnesota Vikings. In return, the Jaguars received a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick that could become a fourth-round pick based on playing time.
Robinson was a second-round pick by the Jaguars in 2017 out of Alabama and had spent his entire career with the team up until he was traded to the Vikings. He started 91 games over his career with the Jaguars.
With the Texans having traded Laremy Tunsil last week, Robinson will presumably step into the starting left tackle role in the Houston offense.
