Apr. 11—Members of the Austin High School speech team have advanced to the Minnesota State High School League State Speech Meet later this month.
Five members of the team earned trips to state after top three finishes at the Section 1AA Tournament on April 10 in Northfield.
Ailani Thiravong and Lydia Masara took first in Duo Interpretation while Alice Osmonson and J.B. Holtorf took third in the category.
Elaine Chumba took third in Prose Interpretation.
The state meet will take place April 25-26 at Shakopee High School.
