High School Basketball: Every Houma-Thibodaux boys basketball player to make All-State

High school basketball season is over.

The All-State teams were released in opening days of the offseason, and the Houma-Thibodaux area is well-represented. In total, 10 boys basketball players made All-State teams in 2025, representing nine different schools and four different classes.

Here's every Houma-Thibodaux boys basketball player to make an All-State team:

Nic Coleman, senior, South Lafourche

Coleman led the Tarpons to a playoff win in Division I non-select while being named All-State honorable mention in Class 4A.

Anthony Dennis, sophomore, A.J. Ellender

Dennis led the Patriots on their Cinderella run to the Division II non-select quarterfinals, and was named All-State honorable mention in Class 4A.

Ja'Juan Jackson, freshman, St. James

Despite his youth, Jackson finished his freshman season by being named All-State honorable mention in Class 3A.

Kadar Mitchell, junior, H.L. Bourgeois

Mitchell led the Braves to an appearance in the Division I non-select playoffs and earned All-State honorable mention honors in Class 5A.

Jordan Matthews, senior, Vandebilt Catholic

After passing 2,000 career points and averaging 26 points per game, Matthews capped his Terriers career by being named first-team All-State in Class 4A.

Terrance Pitre, junior, South Lafourche

Pitre finished out the 2024-25 season earning both All-District honors and an All-State honorable mention in Class 4A.

Jaquan Raymond, senior, Thibodaux

The only senior on the Tigers' team this season, Raymond finished his career by being named All-State honorable mention in Class 5A.
