6 tackle prospects Arizona Cardinals could target in Rounds 1-2 of NFL draft

The NFL draft is later this month and the Arizona Cardinals will be putting together their player rankings. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah recently updated his top 50 players and we broke the top 50 down by position.

As the Cardinals have different positional needs, let's take a look at each position group and who might be a target with either of their two top picks, No. 16 and No. 47 overall.

Let's look at the offensive tackles, a position that many feel the Cardinals are certain to address in Rounds 1 or 2.

In Jeremiah's top 50 players, six are tackles.

Offensive tackles in Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 prospects

  1. Will Campbell, LSU: No. 10 overall
  2. Armand Membou, Missouri: No. 12 overall
  3. Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas: No. 31 overall
  4. Josh Simmons, Ohio State: No. 37 overall
  5. Josh Conerly, Oregon: No. 39 overall
  6. Marcus Mbow, Purdue: No. 48 overall

Who could the Cardinals get?

Campbell and Membou are expected to be top-10 picks, so they won't be options.

What is interesting is that names commonly tied to the Cardinals at No. 16 are Banks or Simmons. While Jeremiah ranks them in the 30s, they are largely believed to be first-round picks, selected as high as the teens.

Conerly also gets first-round love, while Mbow is more a second-round option and many believe he will have to play guard in the pros.
