5 Ravens-related storylines to watch during the 2025 NFL owners meetings

The Ravens and 31 other teams are preparing for the April NFL draft, but the first owner of business will be the league's owners meeting in Florida.

The NFL's annual meeting will occur in Palm Beach, Florida, from March 30 to April 2, and plenty of storylines will surround John Harbaugh's team. Baltimore has contract negotiations with Derrick Henry, the distraction of Justin Tucker, and a lack of off-season moves to explain, with the Ravens signing only three outside free agents.

We're looking at several Baltimore Ravens-related storylines with the meetings beginning on Sunday morning.

Coach is going to be around for a while

Ravens coach John Harbaugh has signed a three-year contract extension through the 2028 season, the team announced Friday. The 62-year-old is the winningest coach in the franchise’s 29-year history and gives Harbaugh the comfort of knowing he won't coach 2025 without a new deal.

Eric DeCosta to explain his off-season moves

Baltimore re-signed Ronnie Stanley in a considerable move while retaining Tylan Wallace, Ben Cleveland, and Patrick Ricard. With limited salary cap space, the Ravens only signed three outside free agents: Jake Hummel, DeAndre Hopkins, and Chidobe Awuzie. Baltimore has 57 players on the roster and 11 picks in April's draft. The Ravens must sign 13 more players before training camp, while freeing up cap space.

Baltimore loves to pull off a late free agency trade or signing around NFL draft time, and this year, Eric DeCosta could add more depth after the draft and at key positions like safety or offensive guard.

What are their top priorities in the draft?

Baltimore has 11 draft picks and several pressing needs. The Ravens need edge rushers, wide receivers, linebackers, defensive tackles, offensive guards, cornerbacks, and safety. With Baltimore lacking the salary cap space to be significant players in free agency, the draft offers an efficient way to retool the roster.

Rule changes

Detroit proposed changing the bylaws to base future playoff seeding exclusively on records. The seven teams with the best records in each conference would be seeded 1-7. The top seed would still receive a first-round bye; the No. 2 would host the No. 7; the No. 3 would host the No. 6; and the No. 4 would host the No. 5.

Green Bay has proposed adding restrictions to rules prohibiting assisting a runner and essentially getting the tush push banned.

Justin Tucker

Ravens star kicker Justin Tucker is facing more allegations that could force the NFL and the organization to sideline the future Hall of Fame kicker.

According to the Baltimore Banner, Tucker faces seven more allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior and misconduct, the newspaper reported.  Now, the league has traveled ...
