2025 NFL mock draft: Texans land potential top OT at No. 25

The 2025 NFL draft is just around the corner, and the Houston Texans are gearing up to welcome some new additions to the roster with their seven picks, including four in the top 100.

The Texans spent the majority of free agency shoring up the offensive line, including trading Kenyon Green and Laremy Tunsil while signing Cam Robinson and Laken Tomlinson as replacements. Both players are likely rental options, so securing a long-term left tackle could still be in play at pick No. 25.

In a new mock draft from CBS Sports' Tom Fornelli, the board doesn't exactly fall the way the Texans might like it. Offensive linemen Kelvin Banks and wide receiver Matthew Golden landed inside the top 15. North Dakota State's Grey Zabel also secured a Day 1 grade after landing in the top 20.

While Alabama's Tyler Booker remains an option, Fornelli has Houston electing to further address the outside of the trenches with Ohio State's Josh Simmons at No. 25.

"The Texans clearly believe they need to revamp their offensive line, and Simmons is an obvious choice here," Fornelli wrote. "I don't know if he's healthy to start the regular season, but when he returns he could prove to be the best tackle in the class."
