The New York Giants hold the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft, which will take place later this month. The draft is beginning to shake out, with the top two teams鈥擳ennessee and Cleveland鈥攕ending out signals on who they might take with the first two picks.
Tennessee is rumored to be leaning heavily towards Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the top pick, and Cleveland, which has been investing a lot of time in Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, may not be the Browns' top choice after all.

Travis Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy recipient, could be the Browns' pick come April 24 in Green Bay. The two-way Colorado star had an excellent pro day last week and may have jumped Carter on the Browns' board.
That would mean Carter would be available for the Giants at No. 3. They would have a choice between Carter and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Fans would likely be pleased with either player.
Carter is likened to another former Penn State linebacker, Micah Parsons. The Giants had an opportunity to draft Parsons a few years back and did not take it. A regrettable decision. They may decide not to let history repeat itself.
