Trump wins Missouri
Former President Trump has won the presidential race in Missouri, defeating Vice President Harris and securing the state's 10 electoral votes, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
It’s his third consecutive win in Missouri, after beating out the Democratic candidates in both the 2020 and 2016 presidential elections by more than 15 percent.
According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s poll aggregation, Trump had a 98 percent chance of winning Missouri.
Trump easily won Missouri’s Republican presidential caucus in March over former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, helping pave the way for him to clinch the Republican Party’s official nomination over the summer.
Missouri consistently supported the winning presidential candidate from 1904 to 2004, with just one exception. However, since 2000, the state has consistently voted Republican. Former President Obama failed to win the state in both of his presidential campaigns.
