Sen. Chris Murphy wins reelection in Connecticut
Sen. Chris Murphy (D) easily won his reelection bid in Connecticut, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
Murphy was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2013 and previously represented the state's 5th District.
He has spent roughly two decades in public office, previously serving within both chambers of Connecticut's General Assembly. Murphy has built a strong base in Connecticut and earlier this year secured a unanimous endorsement for a third term from the state Democrats.
