Bernie Sanders wins reelection in Vermont
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) easily won reelection to a fourth term for his seat in Vermont, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
Sanders faced opposition from Gerald Malloy, a West Point graduate and businessman, who sought to hammer the progressive lawmaker over issues like the economy and abortion.
But the independent senator remained the clear front-runner throughout the race. In 2018, when he was last reelected to the Senate, Sanders prevailed by 40 points.
