Election Day 2024 live updates: Trump projected as winner in Georgia, North Carolina
It's too early to say who will win the race for the White House, with polls still open or contests too early to call in battleground states, particularly the "blue wall" of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Vice President Harris and former President Trump have each notched early wins in states that were predictably blue or red. Republicans secured a win in Florida, while Virginia, which Republicans had hoped to flip, went for Harris.
In the first big swing state calls, Decision Desk HQ projected Trump would win North Carolina and Georgia.
Control of Congress was also too early to call. The House may be up for grabs, and the Senate is more than likely flipping into Republican hands.
A spate of bomb threats disrupted voting in several places. At least five states reported fake threats, something the FBI later attributed to Russia.
