When Paige Bueckers takes the court Friday night against UCLA, she knows there will be one young fan tuned into her every move.
Harper LaMarre, who is 11 years old, has rooted for Connecticut ever since she can remember. So when the Final Four came to Tampa this year, it was a chance to hopefully meet her idol.
The Huskies got in town on Tuesday, fresh off their regional final victory over USC, young Harper was there to greet the team.
"They told us no pictures, no autographs, nothing, but if they come up to you, you could," Harper said to ABC WFTS Action News . "So they were coming off the plane. I just see Paige come down, and I just start crying so much because I love her so much."
