Yale basketball, Casey Simmons from Milton Academy playing in NCAA Tournament

On Thursday night, No. 13 Yale basketball will look to knock off No. 4 Texas A&M.
Yale basketball is no stranger to playing that role. Last year, the No. 13 Bulldogs upset No. 4 Auburn, 78-76.
Milton's Casey Simmons will likely play a big role if Yale is able to pull off another stunner in March.

Simmons came into Thursday's game averaging 8.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. The junior forward is coming off a solid showing in the Ivy League Tournament. Simmons 13 points in a 90-84 win over Cornell in the championship as Yale locked up its second consecutive NCAA Tournament trip.
In a semifinal win over Princeton, Simmons scored 10 points.
In last year's NCAA Tournament, Simmons did not score and played 12 minutes over Yale's two games. He's started 20 of 28 Yale's games this season.

The forward stands at 6-6 and 180 pounds.

Simmons was the top recruit in Massachusetts coming out of Milton Academy. He was No. 92 in the country and was a four-star recruit according to 247sports.com and ESPN.
Simmons committed to Northwestern and played 27 games (7 starts) for the Wildcats in 2021-2022 before transferring to Yale.
