Recap: Leadoff hitter Will Brennan went 4 for 5 with a double and three RBIs and Juan Brito homered and had three RBIs as the Clippers won for the seventh time in eight games. Micah Pries tripled for Columbus, which jumped to a 6-0 lead in the fifth inning. Clippers starter Doug Nikhazy (1-0) allowed one earned run on four hits in five innings. He struck out eight and walked one. Bradley Hanner, Andrew Walters and Nick Mikolajchak combined for five shutout innings.
