Perhaps no star is brighter than that of Notre Dame women's basketball star Hannah Hidalgo. The sophomore was third in the nation in scoring and has helped the No. 3-seeded Fighting Irish reach the Sweet 16 round of the 2025 women's NCAA Tournament. Notre Dame takes on No. 2 TCU at 1 p.m. ET Saturday from Legacy Arena at BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama.
Hidalgo had 21 points, three assists and two steals in a 76-55 Notre Dame win over Michigan in the second round. She had 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals in a 106-54 first-round win against Stephen F. Austin.
During the season, Hidalgo averaged 24.1 points on 47.3% shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.7 steals per game in 31 games for Notre Dame. Only Florida State's Ta'Niya Latson (25.2 points) and Arkansas' Izzy Higginbottom (24.4) averaged more points per game than Hidalgo.
