The Texas A&M Aggies (13-14) will host the Incarnate Word Cardinals (13-17) at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park on Tuesday night. The Aggies are hoping to get back on track after losing their series to Kentucky.
While they are 1-8 in SEC play, the good news is they are on a three mid-week winning streak. The Aggies have outscored their opponents 38-9 and served as the perfect opportunities for coach Michael Earley to tweak the lineup before the weekend series. A&M has played better overall but still are struggling at times at the plate as they again had double-digit strikeouts (12) in a shortened game on Sunday.
These teams have met eight times, with Texas A&M winning seven of the eight matchups. Over the last five games, Texas A&M has outscored the Cardinals 38-18. A win will bring them back to .500 on the season before traveling to Knoxville to take on No. 1 Tennessee in their next SEC series.
