The biggest event of the PGA Tour season so far is right around the corner with the Masters Tournament -- golf's first major -- nearing the first tee at the historic course in Augusta, Georgia.
For the second time in three years, Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 Masters as he finished 11-under to win by four shots over Sweden's Ludvig Aberg, who ended up at 7-under.
Winning the Masters was just the start for Scheffler, who was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The 28-year-old had a historic season, winning seven of 19 events, was runner-up twice and finished in the top-10 in 84 percent (16-of-19) of events while making all 19 cuts in 2024.
The 2024 Masters victory was Scheffler's third win on the PGA Tour in less than a month, as he was also victorious in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the The Players Championship last March. Scheffler followed it up by winning the RBC Heritage the next week and earned the top spot four more times after that, including taking home the gold medal for Men's Olympic Golf competition in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
