Make no mistake—whoever the starting QB is for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 will have one of the league's best receivers to throw to: star WR and freakish athlete DK Metcalf.
On March 13, 2025, the Seattle Seahawks officially traded DK Metcalf and a sixth-round pick (No. 185) in exchange for the Pittsburgh Steelers' second-round pick (No. 52) and a seventh-round pick (No. 223).
Since entering the league in 2019—after being selected by the Seahawks with the 64th overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft—Metcalf’s first six seasons have been nothing short of impressive. In 97 games, 93 of which were starts, Metcalf accumulated 6,324 receiving yards and 48 touchdowns on 438 receptions—an impressive seasonal average of 1,108 yards and 8 TDs.
Fans of the Black and Gold were treated to a short three-minute compilation of Metcalf's highlights, posted by the Pittsburgh Steelers on social media:

While many are eagerly anticipating the debut of the 'Super Crashout Bros.'— the fan-given nickname for the duo of Metcalf and fellow Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens — the latter has recently been linked to trade rumors, potentially opening the door for Metcalf to take on a large workload in 2025.
