AC Milan clinched three important points against Udinese on Friday evening, more so for their confidence than the standings, and they did so by scoring four goals.

Few expected such a commanding performance from Milan, even if the game was quite close prior to the opening strike. Indeed, Rafael Leao’s wonderful strike paved the way for a very nice evening, with Strahinja Pavlovic doubling the lead just three minutes later.

Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders added to the party in the second half, once again after very nice moves by the Rossoneri, and the Rossoneri fans were able to smile for once. In the video below, you can relive the action and the goals.

As stated by Sergio Conceicao after the game, Milan were ‘solid and compact’ thanks to the formation change, fielding a 3-4-3 instead of the usual 4-2-3-1. They will likely continue with that formation for the season finale, in other words, with a Coppa Italia still to fight for.

Pavlovic agreed that the formation did a lot of good as Udinese were unable to hurt Milan, with no space on the flanks or in the penalty box. The Serbian himself also played incredibly well in that role, it must be said.
