VOTE for the Morris/Sussex Softball Player of the Week for April 7-13

After another fun week of the high school softball season, it's time to look back on the best performances. 

Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the Morris/Sussex Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Avery Andres, Chatham

The senior shortstop went a combined 4-for-8 with six RBIs and three runs scored across three games this week. Andres had a double and a home run to drive in four runs in a 9-3 win over Mendham on Wednesday.

Alexis Arpino, Sparta

The senior pitcher allowed three earned runs with two strikeouts across seven innings, earning a win in a 6-4 victory Wednesday over Morris Knolls. Arpino also hit 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in the Spartans' win.

Olivia Cilli, Pope John

The junior pitcher went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, along with a home run in a 9-7 win over Roxbury on Wednesday. Cilli also tossed a complete game, allowing only two earned runs with 11 strikeouts in the victory.

Gabby Carlucci, Hanover Park

The sophomore outfielder went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBIs this week in games against Livingston and Madison. Carlucci went 2-for-3 with two home runs in a 17-4 win over Madison on Thursday.

Lauren Kideckel, Montville

The senior first baseman went a combined 5-for-8 with five RBIs and three runs scored during games against Morristown and West Milford. Kideckel had a single and a double with two runs scored and three runs driven in during a 17-1 win over West Milford on Thursday.

Katie Kopera, Jefferson

The senior infielder went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, a stolen bases and two RBIs in a 13-1 win over Hackettstown on Tuesday. On Thursday, Kopera went 1-for-3 with a double that resulted in her 100th career hit in an 11-1 win over North Warren.

Madi Mirz, Mountain Lakes

The senior pitcher tossed a complete game, allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out 16 batters in an 11-6 win over Boonton on Tuesday. Mirz went 1-for-3 at the plate with a three-RBI double and a run scored in the victory.

Sofia Reisinger, Morris Catholic

The junior pitcher went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 7-0 win over Wallington on Wednesday. Reisinger also earned the win in the circle with a three-hit shutout and 16 strikeouts in a complete game win.

Kahlen Rodriguez, Morris Tech

The senior catcher went 5-for-5, including a home run and three doubles, with nine runs batted in as the Devils defeated St. Elizabeth, 20-10, on Tuesday. Rodriguez set career-highs for hits and RBIs in a single game for the four-year varsity player.

Zoe Turner, Morris Hills

The senior pitcher went 5-for-6 at the plate with two triples, three stolen bases and four RBIs during victories over Parsippany Hills and Chatham. tossed six shutout innings, allowing one combined hit and striking out eight in total.
