Vikings defensive lineman Jerry Tillery signs with Chiefs in free agency
The Minnesota Vikings' defensive line was a weak spot last year, especially in their defeats to the Rams and the Lions. They addressed that quickly in free agency this week by signing Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave. With two impact players coming in, some players in the rotation are due to see themselves out.
One of those dominos fell on Friday.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that defensive lineman Jerry Tillery was leaving the Vikings and signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Notre Dame defender was drafted 28th overall by the Chargers in the 2019 NFL Draft. Since then, he has played for the Raiders, which means his joining the Chiefs means he is just a contract with the Broncos away from playing for the entire AFC West.
In his career, Tillery has played in 96 career games and accumulated 12.5 sacks in his six-year NFL career.
