USC continues to pursue one of California's best prospects

USC football currently has the top recruiting class for 2026 and are looking to add more stars. The Trojans have received a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Chase Deniz. He is a prospect from San Diego. 247Sports rates him as the No. 117 offensive tackle in the 2026 class. Under general manager Chad Bowden, USC has stepped up its efforts to land the best prospects in the country. Few are better than Oregon commit Kodi Greene.

Santa Ana (California) 2026 five-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene has been committed to the Ducks since August. Chad Bowden is trying to change the equation. USC has gained tremendous momentum in potentially flipping Greene since Bowden became the Trojans' GM.

Greene returned to the USC campus on March 29. It appears the visit went well, potentially putting the Trojans in an improved position since Greene is scheduled to return to USC for his official visit on June 20.

There is a long way to go, but flipping the No. 1 offensive tackle in California, particularly stealing him away from Oregon, would be a huge move, catapulting the 2026 class to an even more exalted status.

The Trojans' committed offensive linemen are Esun Tafa, John Fifita, and Chase Deniz. Landing Greene would be a significant addition that would send shockwaves throughout the college football industry.
