This offseason will be an important one for Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels as they need to reshape their roster. With two depatures, the Tar Heels have already been able to land two more players to add to the roster.
On Friday, a former Tar Heel found his new home.
Center Jalen Washington took some visits after entering the portal just a few weeks back. Now, he's found his new home and he's heading to the SEC. Washington verbally committed to Vanderbilt on Friday night, ending his new recruitment and picking his next school.

The former four-star recruit out of Gary, Indiana, joined UNC in the 2022 class, picking the Tar Heels out of 13 other offers. He spent just three seasons at North Carolina, averaging 4.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game over those three seasons, serving as a backup.
Washington never really developed into the player that Hubert Davis imagined he would be and it was better for both sides to essentially move on. The center now gets the chance to earn some valuable minutes with Vanderbilt and help turn that program around.
