Tottenham have announced that Vinai Venkatesham is set to join the Club’s Board as Chief Executive Officer.

In a move that is sure to make its way into a discussion or two, the former Arsenal executive will take up his new post in the summer after the conclusion of the current season.

An official statement from the club read "Vinai brings expertise in both sporting and commercial operations, having previously served as the CEO at Arsenal Football Club."

"Prior to this Vinai was part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and is currently a non-executive director of the British Olympic Association. He was formerly a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the European Club Association (ECA)."

Spurs executive chairman Daniel Levy welcomed the 43-year-old to the other side of north London, stating "The Club has experienced significant growth in recent years, making it crucial to expand our executive management."

"I have known Vinai for many years, having worked together in the Premier League and the ECA. I am personally delighted that he has agreed to join our Board as we build for success.”

Given his tenure at Arsenal, Spurs will no doubt hope he can help push them on in the coming years.
